Born in Sendai (Japan), she first studies violin. She then gets interested in ancient music, particularly in viola da gamba. In 1978, she moves to Europe to improve her skills by Jordi Savall and Christophe Coin at the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis. Meanwhile she studies baroque violin with Jaap Schröder. After hers studies, she gives many concerts in Switzerland, Germany, France, Italy, Denmark and Japan. She takes part in important festivals and in many disc recordings (harmonia mundi, DHM, Naxos, COO-Records and Assai), She has also recorded for Swiss radio and TV (DRS, TSR, RTSI) and French and Danish TV. She has collaborated with people such as R.Jacobs J.Savall, F.Bruggen, W.Kuijken, M.Ch.Kiehr, A.Scholl, S.Vartolo and M.Gester.
In 2002 she recorded viol solo pieces of Mr Demachy at Assai (Paris). This CD was favorably welcome by international critiques (e.g. Télérama ffff). She is the founder and artistic director of the « Ensemble baroque ELISEO » created in 1998, and has also become a specialist in the playing of « par-dessus de viole and dessus de viole/ descant ».
